This world reknown scientific research facility is working hard to demystify the way the universe works.
The visitor center has a number of excellent displays showcasing astronomy's discoveries and processes. The gilf shop has a splendid variety of souvenirs and books.
The observatory also has periodic "Star Parties" where the public gets a tour of the heavens.
However, for all their prowess, you have to wonder why they can't find the source of the nearby Marfa Lights. All they have to do is follow the signs.
